A Road to Somewhere by Magowl on Mixcloud
This was a selection of songs I was going to play at the gallery opening this past weekend, but my laptop broke so I threw something together now instead.
As usual I’m not really a DJ so it’s not beat-matched or anything; just good songs.
Had a listen to the whole thing today and it seems it dropped a couple of tunes towards the end, no idea why. I can’t replace the audio on mixcloud, but I’ve replaced the download (link below).
Almost 2 hours of Italo Disco, although there are a couple of tunes I wouldn’t necessarily classify as Italo on here as well. This is the mix I promised after I ran Italo Week, so after a slight delay here it is. The tunes are a selection of the vinyls I’ve found in the 80s DJ collection I bough a while back (there are probably more as I still haven’t gone through all of them).
I make no claims of being a “real” DJ or anything (I just have lots of music) but I do try my best not to fup the mixes :). So you know, if there are a couple of rough transitions, that’s why.
Also, I had to code this down quite a bit to fit the size requirement on mixcloud, but you can grab a better copy here.

The title ‘Summer Instro Mix’ says it all: this is a mellow instrumental mix that’s perfect to play while chilling in the sun, BBQ’ing with friends or travelling. Well, forget about that, this mix is good to play whenever and wherever! The hands on the cover art reflect a producer tapping on his MPC, which represents artists in this mix like Damu The Fudgemunk and IV himself.

And again, I’m not really a DJ, I just have lots of music but I try my best to mix things as decent as possible :)
My old friend Wolf (Royal Blood, Smutsit etc) pm’d me a couple of days ago and sent me his man Spud‘s new mixtape, so I thought I’d push it a little and put up a post. Wolf made a couple of beats on there and a couple are over other peeps intrumentals. 10 tracks all in all and you can find the download link below.
For the upcomming release of Bluevibe studio EP – This life volume.1, J asked me, and the other remixers on it, if we could do like a mixtape/podcast type thing with music we liked or whatever we wanted (that I like hehe). And today he put up my contribution, it got everything from Bristol to Bristol (see if you can figure that one out). There’s some reggae, jungle, hiphop, dubstep, glitch, you name it.. on there.
And I heard all of the tunes going on the EP a couple of days ago as well, it’s a great EP.. so keep an eye out for it. I’ll be writing something up once it’s out.
