2011 – Another Year Passed

We’re a couple of days into the new year now and I thought I’d put together a short (probably going to be long) photo/music year in review.

Yup, it got quite long so I split it into several pages, you’ll find the page links just under the title on all the pages as well as down at the bottom. Unfortunately it placed itself below all the sharing and related posts stuff down there; I wasn’t able to change it’s position, shouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience though.

Crazy amounts of snow and cold as… was the keywords. I joined a couple of good friends out on the countryside for new years, and we had a really good evening.

Thinking about putting together another up for my bandcamp page. I won’t make it downloadable though. It will be more of a selling beats deal; listen, contact me, pay me, get the beat… that type of deal. Maybe tonight or tomorrow, we shall see.

Scrunchface Show #50: The CHOP THIS! Edition

This was the Chop This Edition of The Scrunchface Show (SFS#50). What does that mean then? Well, Dart Adams/Producers I Know posted up a bunch of tunes (25 of them) with his #diggasknow twitter posts and wanted producers to chop up those specific samples for it. They got 16 entries (mine included), some really nice, so go check it out via the link below.

The title ‘Summer Instro Mix’ says it all: this is a mellow instrumental mix that’s perfect to play while chilling in the sun, BBQ’ing with friends or travelling. Well, forget about that, this mix is good to play whenever and wherever! The hands on the cover art reflect a producer tapping on his MPC, which represents artists in this mix like Damu The Fudgemunk and IV himself.

Beat Jackers

So I’ve been seeing this link/song pop up lately (apparently it’s been around for a couple of months), it’s a song by some cat from the Netherlands who calls himself Kingsize, the song is called Jong Rijk, and the label he’s on is called Wilde Western Records.

I just want to make this exceptionally clear for everyone..

I do not know these people, I have never talked to them. I do not endorse this song, they jacked this beat, which is called Odd School, from me (and even had the audacity to edit it),  all while still crediting me for the production.

I didn’t really want to write their names as they don’t deserve any more publicity, but this shit’s been getting me irritated. I emailed these guys and asked what the deal was, wrote on the vids on youtube aso, but I have yet to get a response (besides getting spam flagged on youtube that is), so they sort of forced my hand.

Here’s the deal.. None, and I mean none, of my beats/instrumentals are free for use for anyone. No exceptions. If you want to use one of my beats you can contact me here or on one of the many other sites I’m on and we’ll work something out. If I see you jacking one of my beats, that’s it, you will have no chance of even buying a beat from me, ever. Clear enough..?

Let me finish off with saying that I’m a reasonable guy when it comes to collaborations and whatnot and a nice dude in general. Just get in touch with me if you wanna use a beat or do a collaboration or something… it’s not rocket science :)
